Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego was a 1985 game released by Broderbund Software for the Apple IIe.  There was also a 1989 ProDOS version (which is the one used in this video).

The original version of the game came with a World Almanac, which needed to be used to solve many of the clues in game.

The object of the game is to identify and catch the suspect.  As you investigate different places, you are given clues about the suspect (ie. gender, hair colour, hobbies) as well as hints on where they might be travelling to next.

To apprehend the suspect, you need to both identify them and travel by plane to the correct next location, within the time limit given.

The more suspects you catch, the higher your rank up, until the final mission, where you get to apprehend the criminal mastermind, Carmen Sandiego, herself.

There is a fair chance that much of the geography knowledge of children in the eighties was learnt through this game!
